Highlights of the achievement
1.The Dimension of Creative Education
(1) On the aspect of Educator
a. Based on the learner-centered principles, NTUE had developed an “iMagic e-learning system” and interactive learning environments with integrated technologies. Thus, NTUE was the only Taiwan educative institute on the selected list of “Best strategy on the pedagogy and learning, year 2019” awarded by the “Times Higher Education”.
b. “Journal of Teaching Practice and Pedagogical Innovation” focusing on higher education for high education was established.
c. Milestone on the multi-track promotion, two faculty members successfully promoted based on the track of “outstanding pedagogy achievement.
(2) On the aspect of Student
a. The amounts of compulsive credits were reduced to 30 for all educative departments. There are 15 cross-disciplinary programs, 28 credit programs and 33 microcredit programs provided for all students.
b. All departments in NTUE owned more than one exclusive certified career counselor, who provides professional consultation and guidance for the students.
c. The first Taiwan local “Questionnaire of Student Learning Outcome” was developed, and conducted every semester for the analysis and adaption of a better learning guidance.
2. Distinguishing features of the School
a. NTUE is the first institute to operate empowered program of cross-disciplinary teaching for primary school teachers, by establishing the digitizing pedagogy document of Chinese, Math and Science courses.
b. “Basic computer programming” was selected as a compulsive course for freshman. Furthermore, “Maker Center” for Maker Teacher training with resources and strategies such as ePUB3(eBook), preliminary class, and Flipped classroom on reading comprehension.
c. The employment rate of our student of 108th Academic Year was 95.48％. NTUE ranked the 5th of the top six Taiwan universities that reached the rate over 95％.
3. University Social Responsibility (USR)
NTUE had proposed and fulfilled “the reborn and improvement plan of Longsheng sector in Daan district”, and signed a contract for community school with experimental schools of Taipei and Educative Bureau of Yilan County.
4. Publicity of the High Education
To construct a holistic and perfect dministrative document system, and to promote the development of the school activity, NTUE announce the related issues of the dministrative meeting regularly.
