The university's Higher Education Sprout Project focuses on "Innovative Teaching and Integration of Theory and Practice" as its core mission, yielding remarkable outcomes. By integrating the university's information system with the UCAN platform, the institution has effectively monitored students' competency development processes. These efforts have earned high recognition from the Ministry of Education’s Youth Development Administration, designating the university as the northern regional coordinating institution for the national "Career Guidance Subsidy Program for Higher Education Institutions."



Additionally, the university has strengthened media literacy education, significantly enhancing students' media comprehension and analysis skills. This initiative has been highly praised by the Ministry of Education, which appointed the university as the leading institution for the "Higher Education Media Literacy Teaching Development Project" and the regional resource center for northern Taiwan.



In alignment with the 2019 Curriculum Guidelines, the university has prioritized "core competencies" in its curriculum development, earning the highest subsidy under the Ministry of Education’s "University Admissions Professional Development Project."



According to the 2023 Taiwan Best Universities Rankings by Global Views Monthly, the university ranked 13th among private universities and 7th nationwide in humanities and social sciences. In the same year, the Cheers magazine survey on "2023 University Performance Growth" placed the university 10th among all higher education institutions in Taiwan and 2nd among private comprehensive universities.

  1. Teaching Practice Research Projects:




    • In 2023, 41 projects were approved, increasing to 47 in 2024, ranking second among private universities.




  2. National Science and Technology Council Undergraduate Research Projects:




    • 151 projects were approved in 2023, rising to 152 in 2024, marking the fifth consecutive year as the top-ranked private comprehensive university.




  3. International Intelligent Robot Competition:




    • In 2023, the university won 1 gold, 7 silver, and 4 bronze medals. In 2024, it achieved 1 gold, 1 silver, and 2 bronze medals.




  4. 14th National Programming Competition for Private Universities and Colleges:




    • In 2024, the university secured 3 gold, 2 silver, and 2 bronze medals, ranking first among private universities.




  5. International Student Enrollment:




    • From the 2020 to 2023 academic years, the university consistently ranked in the top five nationwide for international student numbers. The EMI Teaching Resource Center was again recognized in the 2023 academic year under the Ministry of Education's "Bilingual Learning Program for College Students" Phase II for its comprehensive implementation.




  6. Teacher Education Center:




    • In 2023, the center received Ministry of Education approval to train bilingual teachers for secondary schools, becoming one of only ten institutions nationwide with this designation.

  2. Wu Shun-wen Journalism Award:

Industry-Academia Collaboration:





  1. College of Communication:




    • The "New Industry Stars: Communication and Marketing Technology Hybrid Empowerment Program (S-MarT Program)" received funding from the Ministry of Education in 2023 under the Humanities, Social Sciences, and Industry-Practice Innovation Linkage Project.




  2. National Disaster Reduction Planning and Design Research Center:




    • Secured contracts totaling NT$78.41 million for disaster prevention and relief plans in Kinmen, Yilan, and Lienchiang counties.




  3. Professional Certifications for Faculty:




    • 32 faculty members obtained ISO 14064-1:2018 certifications for organizational greenhouse gas inventory verification.

    • 44 faculty members achieved ISO/IEC 14067:2018 certifications for product carbon footprint verification.

    • 18 faculty members received ISO/IEC 27001:2022 certifications for information security management system auditing.

    • 25 faculty members obtained certifications as career consultants (GCDF, CDA, CPAS), enhancing the university’s industry-academia alignment capabilities.

    • In 2024, collaboration revenue increased by NT$11,087,007 compared to 2023, representing a growth rate of 81.8%.





Enhancing the Public Nature of Higher Education:





  1. Establishment of the Office for Sustainable Development:




    • In 2024, the university established the Office for Sustainable Development to implement campus-wide carbon footprint monitoring, compile a sustainability report, and oversee the university's comprehensive sustainability strategy.




  2. Flexible Salary Incentives:




    • In 2023, the university allocated NT$23,277,755 in flexible salary disbursements to enhance talent retention and recruitment incentives.
