Take teaching as the core




  1. 15 interdisciplinary specialization modules, 28 credit programs, and 38 microcredit programs were established and 90.8% of students have taken these courses. Each classroom in the Duxing Building was equipped with three 86-inch touch screens to create a smart and toxin-free teaching environment.

  2. The support systems of teaching specialization, career development, and academic research were strengthened continuously. In addition, the approval rate of teaching practice research projects for Ministry of Education increased to 58% in 2023 with a consistent upward trend.

  3. The NTUE is the only university which can offer a comprehensive teacher education program, systematically enhancing students' competency-based and interdisciplinary teaching abilities. From 2020 to 2024, the teacher qualification examination pass rate reached 76.54%, with 1,806 students successfully securing teaching positions, surpassing the national average with outstanding performance.

  4. Faculty from the Department of Digital Technology led an NTUE team to produce a documentary that won international accolades, including Best Foreign Documentary at the Nice International Film Festival in France.

  5. Students were encouraged to form autonomous learning communities and participate in competitions. In 2023, the "Dao Ying" community received an Honorable Mention at the National Autonomous Learning Competition and won multiple awards in national entrepreneurship and design contests, demonstrating remarkable achievements.

  6. Experts were tnvited to share insights on AI technology trends. Furthermore, 19 AI lectures and workshops were organized to enhance faculty's technology application skills.

  7. The number of international sister universities inceased to 133. Moreover, academic exchange agreements with 7 international institutions was signed.



Fulfill social responsibility




  1. The campus wellness courses were promoted effectively. Notable results include national table tennis competitions for university faculty and staff: 3rd place in the Men's C Group in 2022, 2nd place in the Men's C Group in 2023, 3rd place in the Senior Management Doubles Group in 2024, 5th place in the Men's B Group, and 4th place in the Mudu Cup.

  2. The 90th-anniversary exhibition of Dadaocheng Tea Shop was held to promote tea culture, to nurture cultural and creative talent, and to revitalize historic sites. This exhibition is helpful for achieving the social responsibility of the NTUE.

  3. The "Tai 26 Classroom" teacher community was established in collaboration with the Taiwan Children's Leadership Education Association to implement project-based learning in rural areas. This initiative involved 10 teacher education students and 75 children from underserved communities, enhancing students' teaching skills and commitment to social engagement through practical experience.

  4. Potential development and early intervention courses for children were provided for 112 participants. In addition, six parenting empowerment workshops with 121 attendees were conducted to share practical parenting strategies applicable in family or educational settings.

  5. Through the "Art Design and Social Practice" course, the NTUE Community Journal was published to promote art education for special needs groups and senior citizens. This initiative expanded the influence of the university's art museum community and strengthened the promotion of aesthetic education.



Industry-university cooperation




  1. Students from the Department of Art and Design earned outstanding achievements, including the Red Dot Design Award and iF Design Award (2022–2024), the Best Research Award at the 2024 Seoul Design Award, and international accolades in the Ministry of Education's Design Strategies Competition (2022–2024), presenting innovative artistic and design capabilities.

  2. Students from the Department of Physical Education won great honors, including championship, runner-up, and runner-up titles in the University Volleyball League (2020, 2021, and 2023), 1 silver and 1 bronze medal at the 2024 World Cup Gymnastics Challenge, Taiwan's first-ever silver medal in javelin at the 2024 U20 World Athletics Championships, and a gold medal in women's javelin at the 2024 Asian U20 Athletics Championships, highlighting exceptional training and international competitiveness.

  3. An alumnus from the Department of Cultural and Creative Industries founded the Dabaoha Aquatic Company and selected as one of the Top Ten Outstanding Youths. In addition, current students claimed first place in the 2024 National Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition and third place in both individual and team categories in the 2023 Cross-Border E-commerce Competition, revealing remarkable innovation and entrepreneurship.

  4. Students and alumni from the Department of Language and Creative Writing won one-fifth of the awards at the 20th Lin Rong-San Literary Awards, demonstrating exceptional literary talent.

  5. Students from the Department of Digital Technology were selected for the Ministry of Digital Affairs 2024 Asia Bay International Rising Star Incubation Program in the game design category and received startup funding and resources.

  6. At the 2023 European Product Design Awards, the NTUE ranked the 6th globally and the 1st in Taiwan. The Art and Design Department team earned awards for nine projects in various issues, such as sustainability, exhibiting outstanding design excellence.

  7. The iMagic Teaching Strategy was promoted and the user-friendly interface of the iMagic platform was enhanced. The modified iMagic were introduced the collaborated elementary schools in rural area to balance urban-rural educational development.

  8. Students were guided in conducting research on Southeast Asia to strengthen industry-academia collaboration. As a result, nine students secured internships at Taiwanese enterprises in the region.



Make resources more public




  1. Indoor air quality was improved remarkably and earned Gold Certification from Taipei City.

  2. The NTUE was ranked among the Top 500 Universities in Asia by QS for three consecutive years and placed 251st among the Best East Asian Universities, revealing that the brand reputation was improved steadily.

  3. A sustainable data collection and results presenting platform was established for participating in university sustainability evaluations. The participations in the Taiwan Green University Alliance and the 2023 UI GreenMetric World were accomplished. Furthermore, the related indicators were systematically reviewed and improved continuously.

  4. A dynamic learning support mechanism was implemented to solve the needs of economically disadvantaged students and to reduce their part-time work. In 2024, 513 students were supported, showing  the significant achievement of the support mechanism.

  5. The ISMS and PIMS standards were fully adopted and the ISO 27001:2013 certification was accomplished. The NTUE Information Ecosystem was established. Moreover, the cybersecurity was enhanced by rebuilding systems for threat detection and incident response to real-time monitor the abnormal connection threats.
