Summary of Goal Achievement and Highlights

A summary of the implementation of the four major programs of the Phase II, Stage 1 of Higher Education Deepening Program is as follows:

  1. Enhance the quality of professional teaching and refine innovative teaching contents.

In order to cultivate talents who can meet future needs and solve complex problems, the University integrates information technology, artificial intelligence (AI), cross-disciplinary teaching, self-directed learning, and humanistic care, and comprehensively improves the quality of teaching and learning through curriculum design, teacher communities, and workshops. In this phase of the program, more than 300 courses are offered, covering core themes such as low carbon living, sustainable development and artificial intelligence, and integrating AI applications and logical thinking into the Freshman Chinese Language curriculum to achieve subject integration. At the same time, we will continue to track student outcomes through a number of learning outcomes assessment tools, with a view to promoting innovation and enhancing the effectiveness of teaching and learning.

  2. Integration of university professions into the local community, and social participation for regional co-prosperity

The university actively promotes local creativity and sustainable management. Based on the university's multi-disciplinary professional resources, the university has implemented the three main axes of “local practice,” “industry linkage,” and “human resources cultivation,” and has integrated its majors into social practice to cover the needs of the local culture and community. In this phase of the program, one deep-rooting, one sprouting, and four HUB-type programs are being promoted in the Yangmingshan area, North Coast, Danshui, Beitou, and Ren'ai Township to help local development. In addition, through the cultivation of campus safety awareness and the construction of crisis response capability, the overall resilience is enhanced to promote the development of campus and community co-prosperity.

  3. Creating an industry-academia environment and strengthening industry-academia support

In order to reduce the gap between education and application, the university has deepened the industry-academia cooperation environment, improved the internship system, and strengthened licensing and functional counseling to help students integrate theory and practice. The total amount of industry-academia cooperation has increased by 40% in the current plan, and we have established internship links with more than 800 enterprises and organizations, providing students with rich practical opportunities and facilitating the implementation of more than 20 Department of Labor employment programs in FY112, which will comprehensively enhance students' readiness and employability.

  4. Strengthening support for economically disadvantaged students and comprehensive school governance

The school upholds the concept of educational equity and actively supports economically disadvantaged students through enrollment mechanisms, academic counseling, psychological support, career planning, and international exchanges. In the second phase of the program, the amount of fundraising for economically disadvantaged students has increased by more than 100%, effectively supporting students to enhance their competitiveness and employability. At the same time, we have further deepened our research on school affairs, systematically collected and analyzed data on school operations, finances, and resource allocation, to provide transparent and clear references for school decision-making.

The above achievements demonstrate the University's excellence in teaching quality improvement, social practice, industry-academia cooperation and education equity promotion, and continue to deepen the University's social responsibility and influence.
