Aspect 1: Teaching Innovation and Enhancement

We promote autonomous and interdisciplinary learning mechanisms while enhancing teachers’ competencies in generative and discriminative AI, guiding students in interdisciplinary studies. During 2023-2024, 59 Projects for “Teaching Practice Research” were approved, with five outstanding cases, ranking first among comprehensive universities nationwide. Benefited classes and students increased from 54 classes (2,491 participants) in 2022 to 62 classes (3,181 participants) in 2023. Remote teaching and administrative operations were facilitated using the iClass learning platform and MS Teams software. The development of the Smart PASS learning consultation system enhanced teachers’ capabilities to track students’ learning outcomes. Additionally, the “Xin Dong Village” project, fully funded by the Ministry of Education, was launched to create a comprehensive autonomous learning environment, foster teacher-student interaction, and advance toward a sustainable campus.







Aspect 2: Fulfilling Social Responsibility

The university actively engages in social responsibility, involving 553 student participants in local engagement activities, including 62 sessions of “Chemistry on the GO” programs to provide diverse scientific education in remote areas. We established “Lifelong Learning Consultation Centers” in collaboration with the New Taipei City Bureau of Education and Tamsui District Office, offering personalized lifelong learning services. Our initiatives included 43 events promoting Tamsui’s rich history, cultural heritage, and culinary experiences through integrated and digital strategies, earning accolades such as the TSAA Taiwan Sustainability Action Award and Global Views’ University Social Responsibility Award. The project, “Good Life in Yilan,” developed SDGs action toolkits and provided diagnostic insights into Indigenous economy, agro-tourism, and public services like the 1999 citizen hotline. In 2024, the university received distinguished honors from TAISE, including the “Sustainability Excellence Award for Universities in Taiwan,” “Gold Award for Sustainability Reports,” and “Environmental Leadership Award,” recognizing its commitment to social responsibility.







Aspect 3: Industry-Academia Collaboration

From 2023-2024, the university offered 111 internship courses with 1,904 students participating in off-campus internships and signed contracts with 671 partner institutions. A total of 141 corporate internship briefings were held, attended by 5,667 participants. Microsoft AI online micro-credential courses attracted 2,648 participants, complemented by 47 hands-on workshops. AI certification initiatives included 55 mentoring workshops with 1,217 registrants and 1,078 certifications obtained. Additionally, 439 students participated in innovation and entrepreneurship competitions. The Career Counseling Center introduced corporate career advisor courses, with 109 faculty members certified, including 86 at the foundational level and 23 at the advanced level.







Aspect 4: Enhancing Higher Education Public Good

From 2023-2024, 42 career talks and company briefings, 444 career consultations, 221 benchmarking corporate visits, and industry mentorship sessions were organized. Certification support aided 2,599 participants, with a total incentive amount of NT$1,519,500 distributed for 1,854 professional certificates. A total of 457 teaching assistants completed training to support educators in enhancing teaching quality. Integrated with Appendix 1, financial aid programs supported 2,499 economically disadvantaged students, amounting to NT$31,144,438. Integrated with Appendix 2 to guide 50 educational and Indigenous student support events, fostering inclusion and accessibility.







Special Chapter: Internationalization and Administrative Support System

The university conducted 6 training sessions to strengthen administrative support systems. There were 13 “All-English Faculty Communities” seminars, one online EMI course training, and 4 faculty members were sent to the US and Australia for EMI course training, enhancing English-medium learning environments. There were 13 admission counseling sessions, 4 sustainable cultural tours, and weekly personal development and learning interest counseling were provided to assist international students in adapting to Taiwan. Additionally, four Microsoft AI-900 certification courses resulted in 48 international students earning certifications. Events such as 2 ELTA seminars, 2 Taiwan Employment Gold Card workshops, 1 point-based residency system briefing, 2 job fairs, 2 corporate visits, and 2 corporate networking sessions were organized to support international students in building careers in Taiwan.
