Asia University Food Safety Center Receives Two More '2023 Innovation Enhancement Awards'
The research team led by Prof. Yu-Cheng Chiang at Asia University's Food Safety Center has once again been honored with two 'Innovation Enhancement Awards' this year for their advancements in 'Detection Chip' and 'Temperature Control Chip' technologies. This accomplishment marks the fifth consecutive year that the center has received a total of 10 awards. Asia University has been actively promoting comprehensive AI teaching and research, resulting in fruitful results in AI biotechnology and medical technology, accumulating a total of 16 awards over five years, including 'National Innovation Awards' and 'Innovation Enhancement Awards.' Renowned Manga Artist Kimiharu Obata Visits Taiwan for Workshop at Asia University
The Department of Digital Media Design at Asia University actively promotes internationalization by hosting a "Japanese Dream Pursuit Lecture Series" on the 22nd and 23rd of December, 2023, featuring the renowned Japanese anime original illustrator and animation director, Prof. Kimiharu Obata. Prof. Obata is known for his work on popular anime series such as "Detective Conan," "Sailor Moon," and "Doraemon." This visit to Asia University was a milestone in his career, as it marked his first time in teaching manga techniques via an "International Workshop" in Taiwan. (more..)
Asia University’s Department of Occupational Therapy Has Obtained Certification from the World Federation of Occupational Therapists (WFOT) for its Courses."

Asia University Has Achieved Success in Four "Teaching Practice Research Excellence Projects" and Has Been Awarded the Ministry of Education's Excellence Award.
In the Ministry of Education's "Teaching Practice Research Project" for the 2022 academic year, a total of 3,259 applications nationwide were submitted, but only 1,605 were approved for funding. AU submitted 36 applications, of which 4 were honored as outstanding projects. This high success rate in receiving awards is praise worthy among universities nationwide. Moreover, among the awarded projects, Prof. Luo Fang-yin from the General Education Center has won the award for two consecutive years. Over the course of six years, AU has received a total of 169 grants, ranking fourth in the higher education system. (more..)

Asia University, Taiwan, has been selected as a "2024 University with Outstanding Performance and Growth," making it onto the list for ten consecutive years. According to a commentary from Cheers magazine, Asia University has demonstrated its ability to respond rapidly to global trends by focusing on AI as its driving force. It actively collaborates with the industry to promote AI general education, interdisciplinary learning, and experiential learning across the entire university, cultivating students' ability apply their knowledge and skills in artificial intelligence. Construction Begins on the "Asia University Fengfu Health Park," Aiming for Launch in 2026
Asia University invests 7.5 billion NTD in constructing the Asia University Fengfu Health Park in Fengyuan, marking the groundbreaking ceremony held on the 6th. Mayor Hsiu-Yen Lu of Taichung City expressed gratitude for Asia University's significant investment, stating that this construction project brings "eight major benefits" to the city. Asia University Founder Chang-Hai Tsai pointed out that by constructing hospitals, long-term care facilities, and public daycare centers in the health park, it provides research and development opportunities for Asia University students and faculty in the health industry, aiming to create 2,000 job opportunities and striving for completion and operation by 2026. Department of Interior Design sets a new record by winning the prestigious "the Best Winners in Decorate(Interior)Category" from the LICC
Asia University's Department of Interior Design shone brightly in the latest edition of the globally renowned creative design awards, the "2023 London International Creative Competition" (LICC)! Chiao-Hui Yu 's work, "Hemerocallis," emerged as the global champion, winning "the Best Winners in Decorate(Interior)Category" and setting a new record for the department in winning the top accolade from LICC. Additionally, four other students and four works received "Interior Design Excellence Awards," while one student and one work received an "Honorable Mention Award," totaling six major awards. Asia University's Creative Design College recently hosted a visit from a delegation of the Design College of f Soegijapranata Catholic University (SCU) from Indonesia. Led by Asia University's Vice President and Dean of the Creative College, Mr. Chi-Hsiung Chen, and joined by nine representatives including SCU's International Director, Peter Ardhianto, discussions revolved around collaborative initiatives such as organizing international academic conferences and workshops, faculty exchanges, and student mobility programs.
