Soochow University Project Highlights
Project Highlights 2024

In the second phase of the Higher Education SPROT Project, the university's overarching goal is to "construct a sustainable university that nurtures interdisciplinary and cross-border talents." This includes five key areas: "Teaching Innovation, Social Responsibility, Industry Collaboration, Higher Education Accessibility, and Institutional Research." Guided by the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), the program integrates various focal points to continuously implement the four major sustainability objectives: "Social Responsibility, Economic Development, Global Partnerships, and Ecological Environment." Furthermore, the program emphasizes stakeholder engagement and the identification of significant issues to support the university's efforts in advancing its plans and sustainable development.

In 2024, the program will continue to deepen the content of the five key areas while addressing the core discourse of "Developing School Features and Responding to SDGs." The plans will focus on developing students' critical competencies to face the future world. The program will emphasize five specific strategies: "From Critical Competency Enhancement to Interdisciplinary Talent Development," "From Action Learning to Self-Directed Learning," "From Resilient Campus to Sustainable University," "Building University Social Responsibility Incubation and Excellence Systems," and "From Parallel to Intersection: Deepening Industry-Academia Cooperation." These strategies will mark the beginning of the second phase (2025-2027) of the program.

To showcase the results of the university's annual plans, a website for the Soochow University Higher Education Deepening Program has been established (https://sprout.scu.edu.tw/), featuring highlights of past achievements (https://sprout.scu.edu.tw/?page_id=248).
