Summary & Highlights of Goal Achievement of Phase I
I.Perspective One [Course Teaching Opens New Prospects]
The quantitative indicators of interdisciplinary learning, programming language, and international communication capacity of students are excellent, higher than the PR75 of private schools. From 2018 to 2022, the number of Teaching Practice Research Projects receiving subsidies from the Ministry of Education (MOE) was respectively 9, 28, 37, 43 and 40, among which, the number in 2020 ranked first place nationwide. The number of benefited classes and students reached 58 and 2,661 respectively. “AI and Programming Language” and “Exploring Sustainability” were added into the General Education and Core Curriculum as required courses. The Implement Lab of Culture & Creative Industry Program was established for teacher-student resonant learning. In response to the pandemic, the iClass learning platform and MS Teams software were used to promote remote teaching, admission and administration. Smart Planning Advising for Student Success (Smart PASS) was developed to collect data from iClass learning platform, aiming at providing academic early warning for faculty to use. A plan subsidized by MOE, “Next Step, New East Village”, aims to strengthen spontaneous study and teacher- student interaction by creating a global learning environment and living space, marching toward sustainable campus.

II.Perspective Two [Glocalization & Great Distancing Competition]
From 2018 to 2022, a total of 258 partner institutions from 42 countries were accumulated, 10 transnational dual-degree programs added, and the proportion of overseas students reached 7.3% of the entire university. The online courses of Microsoft Certifications were enrolled by over 3,000 students; more than 300 students and 147 faculty members obtained Microsoft Certification licenses. In the rankings of 2022 by Global Views Monthly, the globalization of TKU ranked first place among private schools. In 2021 and 2022, awarded the Program on Bilingual Education for Students in College, BEST of MOE. Ranked number 3 nationwide for Taiwan Huayu BEST Program of MOE. Awarded Taiwan-Europe Connectivity Scholarship Program of Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The Economics & Education Volunteer Program was awarded TCSA Sustainability Action Award (SDG8) 2022 and the Social Value Award of TVBS Global Chinese Sustainable News Report Awards; College of Artificial Innovative Intelligence established the Reality Field which won Silver of U.S. Muse Design Awards 2021, Asia Design Prize 2022, German Red Dot Award 2022, offering nearly 300 cloud AI-related courses.

III.Perspective Three [Higher Education Governance Opens Prosperity]
From 2018 to 2022, 25 students received the Jing Ying Student Scholarship and Financial Aid; the percentage of students receiving individual tutoring increased by 72.55%; the Star at Dawn Award for Academic Progress awarded 519 economically disadvantaged students; the “Career Counseling for Advancement Award for Economically Disadvantaged Students” subsidized 651 students. 287 economically disadvantaged students received individual tutoring in 84 subjects; the financial aids for students with disabilities subsidized 313 students. 33 activities of Career Exploration & Hard Skills in Workplace received 1,362 students with the degree of satisfaction up to 5.38 (6-point Likert Scale), where the pre-test score of career exploration activity was 3.90, and its post-test score rose to 7.09, an increase of 81.79%. After receiving counseling, economically disadvantaged students passed 56 subjects in total, with a passing rate of 77.78%.
IV.Perspective Four [Local Practice Accomplishes Mission]
USR actions were highly recognized by the society with the Social Inclusion Award, Sustainability Report Award, and Sustainable Goals Action Award of Taiwan Corporate Sustainability Award 2021; in 2022, received Gold Award of Asia-Pacific Sustainability Action Awards-SDG 13, 1 silver and 3 bronze of Taiwan Sustainable Action Awards, Gold Award for Sustainability Report and the accreditation by BSI. Ranked 301-400 worldwide and no. 10 in Taiwan in the Impact Rankings of World University Rankings 2022 by THE, among which ranked first place in Taiwan for quality education (SDG4), no. 2 in Taiwan for affordable and clean energy (SDG7), no. 3 in Taiwan for clean water and sanitation (SDG6). The proportion of departments offering professional knowledge service-learning courses reached 100%. Chemistry On The Go tour received recognition from all sectors with an accumulative total of 625 activities held so far. Elderly Sports and Health courses supported local senior citizens to keep a good quality of life. A total of 149 lectures, workshops and seminars were held; counselled Jhongshan Elementary School to become the first public-owned and public-operated experimental elementary school in New Taipei City and the first civil literacy experimental school in Taiwan.
