2021 School Project Highlights- Chinese Culture University
The school has implemented four major programs, 12 strategies and 55 specific practices in the Higher Education Deepening Program, and the highlights of the school's implementation in 2021 are as follows:
1.The Hua Gang Maker Center for Creativity upholds the philosophy of "hands-on" and "problem solving", inviting industry lecturers to give workshops and seminars to bring practical experience to campus. In addition, we encourage the implementation of innovative ideas and provide the center's facilities for students and faculty to try to develop new products with their professional knowledge and technology. In addition, we offer hands-on workshops for students and faculty to try out different creative product development ideas and practices from the topics offered. In the process of conducting dozens of teaching workshops and creative lectures in the past year, we have been collecting feedback from the participants and evaluating the feasibility of offering courses in our Maker Center based on the results of the market survey, and gradually adjusting the teaching contents and the aesthetics and sophistication of the products produced. In the year of Covid-19 pandemic, in response to the current situation of collective panic in the society, we held a workshop on product design and production under the theme of "Fragrance" and "Healing". 1,536 participants and 4,123 users participated in the activities of the Center in 2021.
2.We are committed to cultivating cross-disciplinary talents. In addition, we have established 6 courses and 12 credits of cross-disciplinary specialization for students before graduation, so that every student can have cross-disciplinary specialization. We also promote micro-credit courses in all departments. In addition, we offer professional VR modules, Smart-Life Internet of Things, 3D Printing, Metalworking, Ceramics, Printmaking, Digital Printing, and Supercritical and Hydrodynamic Essential Oil Extraction for all students and faculty. In addition, the colleges have set up related multidisciplinary courses. For example, the Art College organizes the integration of humanities and science and technology, the training of cross-border exhibition talent-related courses; 33 art creation workshops or lectures, 5 art skill competitions and 1 campus art performance were provided. The College of Engineering offers courses in the fields of electrical engineering, machinery, chemical materials, information technology, and textiles, as well as 15 courses on smart factories. There are 502 participants, 404 of which are students from other colleges (80.48%). The School of Law promotes the cross-disciplinary training program for corporate legal professionals, offering four courses related to cross-disciplinary areas, cooperating with several law firms and companies to conduct summer and mid-term internship programs, and organizing the 6th Seminar on Corporate Innovation and Management Law, the 8th Hwa Kong Financial Law Seminar, and lectures on new digital technologies, civil liability, and the sustainable impact of the financial industry, as well as a series of lectures on international trends. 2021 Annual School Project Achievements
The school has proposed four projects with "Rooted in Learning, Diversity and Innovation, Leading the Future, and Developing Character" as the main axis.
I. Implementing teaching innovation and improving teaching quality
(1) Improving student learning outcomes
In order to enhance students' learning effectiveness, the University conducted the Basic Literacy Test to measure students' performance in whole-person literacy, Rubrics as a tool to implement core competency questionnaires for graduates of various departments, and piloted the Appropriate Teaching and Learning Style Questionnaire designed by Richard M. Felder and Linda K. Silverman for teachers to use as a basis for adjusting teaching directions to enhance students' interest in learning and to elevate their learning outcomes. In line with our graduation process, we conducted a survey for fresh graduates when they leave school. 5,027 valid questionnaires were collected this year.
(2) Strengthen students' professional and practical technical skills
In 2021, a total of 25 internship courses were offered, and through industry-based learning, the school integrated theory and practice. In addition to career workshops and career seminars, the university held a series of 19 career seminars, including career planning, alumni experience sharing and industry trends, function and workplace education, and workplace visits. To provide students with a variety of development opportunities and industry-academia linkages, the "Non-Curriculum Internship" program was held, with 554 students completing it and 14 hours of internship micro-credit certification was held. In accordance with the common workplace skills valued by companies, 45 seminars on the eight common workplace functions were held, including communication and expression, interpersonal interaction, information technology, teamwork and work discipline, etc., which were highly beneficial to students.
(3) Develop key competencies for students
(i) Innovation and Entrepreneurship: The Hua Gang Maker Center offers a series of lectures and hands-on workshops in a variety of categories, including 3D printing, VR virtual reality, and other technology courses, as well as workshops in leather creation, essential oil extraction, ceramics, printmaking, goldwork, creative fragrance soap, and textile weaving, etc., providing a platform for students and faculty to put their professional knowledge into practice to create finished products.
(ii) Logical Thinking: Depending on the application and needs of each discipline, we develop logical thinking and programming courses for different areas, divided into beginner and advanced courses. 70.6% of all undergraduate students took programming courses in 2021. 165 courses were integrated into logical thinking in the same year, with 8,392 students enrolled.
(iii) Chinese Reading and Writing: In the first semester of the 2021, 45% of the 41 classes were tested for their Chinese reading and writing skills. After the test, the content and methods of teaching freshman Chinese language were adjusted to improve students' reading and writing skills. The newly edited Chinese language curriculum is divided into four modules: Humanistic Ideas, Taste of Life, Caring for People, and Practical Writing. In addition, the Chinese section adds practical writing and teaching skills for autobiography and basic commercial planning writing for students' future application of current trends.
(4) Promoting Innovative Teaching and Learning
(i) In order to encourage teachers to engage in diversified teaching and learning, and to reward teachers who continue to develop innovative teaching and teaching materials into the curriculum, the school opens the application program every semester and awards them after passing the review.
(ii) In order to improve the teaching methods of teachers from different fields through the process of co-teaching or mutual lesson observation, 13 interdisciplinary teacher development communities were established this year and 72 activities and seminars were held.
(iii) To enhance teachers' professional ability to teach appropriately and to use standardized tests to understand students' learning characteristics, 8,553 students completed the learning style questionnaire. This will help teachers to adjust the teaching contents to students' characteristics and enhance students' learning effectiveness.
II. Development of school characteristics
(1) Cultivating cross-disciplinary π talents
In the 2017 school year, new students will be required to take a 6-course, 12-credit General Interdisciplinary Concentration in order to cultivate π talents. 84 sets of Interdisciplinary Concentrations will be offered for students to take in the 2021, and micro-credit courses will be offered in each department to provide students with the opportunity to choose freely and to give them real credits.
(2) Integrating Chinese culture into teaching
Since its founding, the Chinese Culture University has made the promotion of Chinese culture a feature and a vision of the university, and each faculty has planned the relevant teaching programs.
(i) College of Arts and Letters: The College established the "Chinese Culture Characteristic Curriculum Promotion Team" to conduct workshops, courses, seminars, educational training and competitions. The College held 5 micro-credit lectures, 6 workshops, 1 oral competition and 1 poetry competition to enhance the learning atmosphere of traditional Chinese culture on campus in 2021.
(ii) The College of Science: Through the integration of Chinese culture and Taiwanese local spirit in the curriculum, the effectiveness of the innovative development of local culture is enhanced, and through the integration of Chinese culture and Taiwanese local culture in the original inflexible professional curriculum, and learning can hence be more diversified and integrated. Through the visiting activities, students will experience the positive attitude of "environmental friendliness", which should be continuously expanded, and will be able to fully understand the ecological environment and environmental changes, so that they can apply what they learn and cherish natural resources. We will promote a wide range of learning and growth impetus, consider appropriate strategies to protect the ecosystem, and realize the ideal of sustainable ecological development.
(3) Establishment of Smart Life Technology Axis Course
(i) Applying digital technology information to shape FinTech professionals: offering courses on introduction to financial technology, app design and application, social media marketing, third-party payment, blockchain technology and application, digital financial marketing, mobile commerce, financial supervision and legal regulation, etc. to strengthen students' relevant knowledge and skills. In 2021, we obtained 10 licenses for trust business personnel and 75 licenses for financial information analysts.
(ii) VR Class ∞ Virtual Classroom Infinity: 2 professional module courses are offered, and VR-related radio production equipment is purchased for the courses. Combined with the professional internship courses, 111 pieces of work were produced in 2021.
(iii) Smart Living Mobile Internet of Things (IOT) Maker Program: 2 mini-courses and 4 IOT Maker Courses or Smart Living IOT Courses.
(4) Cross-disciplinary curriculum design and development
In order to enhance interdisciplinary technological learning, the University is actively promoting interdisciplinary courses and student learning activities among faculties and departments, including the School of Law, Social Sciences, Agriculture, Engineering, Mass Communication, and Arts and Education.
(i) School of Law - "Cross-Disciplinary Training Program for Corporate Legal Talents": including 4 cross-disciplinary courses, summer and mid-term internship programs in cooperation with several law firms and companies, the 6th Conference on Corporate Innovation and Management Law and the 8th Hwa Gang Financial Law Conference, lectures on new digital technology, civil liability and sustainable impact of the financial industry, and a series of lectures on international trends.
(ii) College of Agriculture - "Agriculture into Life, Innovative Industry and Research": This year, due to the epidemic, the teaching and student learning exhibition was held on a smaller scale. Two lectures were held on the latest developments in industrial and academic research and development. The lectures covered the introduction of the cow camphor industry, the development of innovative technologies such as Ficus pumila’s development from research to industry, and the latest developments in the pear industry, nutritional marketing, and territorial projects in Taiwan, to broaden students' horizons for their future careers.
(iii) College of Engineering - "Smart Factory Talent Cultivation": The College `of Engineering offered 15 courses on Smart Factory, with 502 participants, 404 (80.48%) of which were students of other colleges. To meet the capstone requirement in IEET Engineering Certification, five departmental and one college student competitions were held.
(iv) College of Mass Communication - "Corporate Bridging Program to Cultivate Students' Ability to Solve Social Problems": The Department of Communication held 15 seminars on new media digital marketing, YouTube channel operation and cultural and creative courses, with a total of 800 participants.
(v) School of Art - "Humanities and Technology Integration, Crossover Performance Talent Cultivation": The School of Art organizes a number of courses for crossover creators, including courses on physical kinetics, theater video technology, pop music creation, music crossover creation, metalwork design creation, and art marketing topics, to lay the foundation of academic and application theories. There are 33 art creation workshops or lectures, 5 art skill competitions and 1 art performance on campus.
(vi) School of Education - "Professional Development Community for Teachers of New Curriculum and Workshop for Teacher Students":The Teacher Training Center held a total of 6 sessions of professional growth community activities for teachers of the new curriculum. Five teachers were invited to share their experiences at the school, including Professor Jianming Zhu from the Department of Geography, Researcher Job Huang from the Institute of Ethnology, Academia Sinica, Team Leader Jing-Rong Xu from Fanghe Experimental Middle School in Taipei City, and teachers Min-Juan Song and Yu-Ru Liu from Yangmei National Middle School in Taoyuan City. This year, we also held the "Literacy Oriented Instructional Design Series" for students aiming to become teachers, and invited secondary school teachers to lead our teacher students to conduct practical work on issue-integrated instructional design and share practical experience in cross-disciplinary collaboration through online or physical courses, hoping to enhance the teaching knowledge of our teacher students and strengthen their competitiveness in employment through these courses.
(vii) College of Social Sciences - "International Perspectives on Social Science Education, Industry-Academia Integration and Social Care": 2 academic exchange events on international issues, 14 courses taught in English, and 28 lectures were held in conjunction with industry-academia integration. The Department of Economics held two academic exchanges on international issues, 14 courses in English, and 28 lectures on topics related to the integration of industry and academia. The Department of Economics organized 100 hours of community service to the "U.S. Army Community" and the Department of Social Welfare conducted service learning in social welfare and social work at the New Taipei Family Support Center.
III. Enhancing the public nature of higher education
(1) Support for economically disadvantaged students
(i) The school provides residential assistance for economically disadvantaged students, mainly helping students with low income, low and middle income, students with physical and mental disabilities, children and grandchildren of families with special circumstances, indigenous people, and new immigration people, hoping to reduce their financial pressure through residential concessions, so that they can gradually turn their attention to their studies and hope to turn the future of economically disadvantaged students through education. In 2021, the school assisted 298 disadvantaged students to live on campus, creating a win-win situation for the economically disadvantaged students and helping them pursue their dreams.
(ii) The learning effectiveness inventory dashboard, which focuses on economically disadvantaged students, can be built to present the data from the overall indicators to the details in a hierarchical manner, and to present them in a specific way with dashboard diagrams and color-coded highlighting, so that students can quickly grasp the overall status of learning and provide them with self-checking.
(iii) According to its individual needs, each college is assigned 1-6 seed students to help lead the learning community of the college students, conduct independent learning, topic discussions, book clubs, etc. They also serve as a communication link between the Teaching Resource Center and disadvantaged students, and assist the university in promoting various seminars, activities, visits, or information on academic counseling and providing media.
(iv) The Learning Clinic provides care and follow-up for students who are lagging behind in the school, and arranges for one-on-one or small-group tutorials by seniors or students with good academic performance for students who need counseling. In 2021, 26 economically disadvantaged students applied for academic counseling; 30 economically disadvantaged students were assigned to receive counseling for the disadvantaged students by the classroom counselors; the satisfaction rate of all students receiving counseling was as high as 93.24%, and about 90% of the students were willing to receive similar counseling again.
(v) The Student Counseling Center in the Office of Student Affairs provides counseling services to students across campus. In order to avoid stigmatization of disadvantaged students, students who are assessed to be in need of counseling and who agree to arrange for individual counseling or group counseling by our full-time and part-time counseling psychologists will be matched against the list of disadvantaged students. For the list, a total of 326 people were served in 2021.
(vi) The school has established the Indigenous Peoples Student Resource Center, which aims to accompany and assist indigenous students in their campus life, academic counseling, and career planning and development, as well as to help them understand themselves, accept themselves, and develop the ability to interact positively with their environment while respecting their individual learning and needs. In 2021, the learning alert counseling rate for indigenous students reached 92%, with a success rate of 84.48%; in addition, we assisted indigenous students in their school life through a single window to enhance their sense of ethnic identity and cohesion. A total of 16 activities were held and 390 people participated in the activities, with a satisfaction rate of over 90%.
(2) Strengthen self-responsibility with a professional school management system and disclose school-related information and research and analysis Issues
(i) Analysis of the living conditions of indigenous students at school
In cooperation with the Indigenous Student Resource Center in the Office of the Dean of Students, the course conducts "Analysis of the Living Conditions of Indigenous Students in School" to examine the changes in the student population of the University and analyze the statistical analysis of the academic learning, withdrawal, financial status, and participation in extracurricular activities of the indigenous students in school to assist the Center in formulating relevant implementation plans and counseling measures.
(ii) Campus Research Application of Stakeholder Concerns
In order to understand the concerns of the most relevant stakeholders (supervisors, parents, staff, teachers, and students), the Office of School Affairs Research conducted a study by linking the Parent Satisfaction Questionnaire and the Academic and Administrative Satisfaction Questionnaire to understand the satisfaction of stakeholders in various aspects of school operation, and to continue to explore improvement plans and development directions based on the results of this analysis in order to achieve sustainable school operation. In the future, the results of this analysis will be used to continue to explore improvement plans and development directions in order to achieve sustainable school operations.
(iii) Distribution of students' test scores and analysis of competitive schools
In conjunction with the Admissions Specialization Program, the Office of Academic Affairs and Research provides information on the distribution of students in each department's entrance exams and analysis of competing schools. In addition, workshops are held to share the Office's departmental dashboards with academic units. The dashboards include analysis of new student enrollment trends, student distribution, retention rates, reasons for leaving, and graduation trends to assist departments in formulating recruitment strategies and development directions.
(iv) Analysis of student population projections
Based on the actual number of students in each grade in the past three years and the number of new students enrolled in each department, we estimate the number of students in the future, and assist the relevant units and departments in establishing the benchmarks for the future trend of enrollment, and in formulating various strategies.
(v) The school cooperated with the TIRC Project of the Taiwan Evaluation and Research Institute (TIRC) to conduct the "National Survey on Learning Adjustment of College Freshmen", based on the questionnaire structure (A) basic information (B) learning background (C) learning resources (D) learning status (E) overall assessment, in order to understand the learning experience of freshmen and their expectations of future learning, and to provide the school with a reference for tracking students' learning process.
(vi) Application to Competitive Schools
In order to help departments understand the competitive relationship between the department and competing departments, the Office of Campus Research presents the "Application Inflow and Outflow Analysis" on the Campus Research Platform, which allows departments to use the data as a basis to identify which departments they are competing with, and which departments they are potentially competing with.
(vii) Percentile ratio and competitive school analysis for the college entrance exam
In order to help departments understand the competition between the department and competing departments, the Office of Campus Research displays the "College Entrance Exams PR value" on the Campus Research platform, which allows departments to understand the PRs of their departments in the national universities and the trend of PRs over the years, so that they can formulate relevant admission strategies.
IV.Social Responsibility
(1) Faculty specialization in community building
The seven colleges of our school focus on community humanistic care, whether in the survey and planning of community data, strengthening the awareness of the community about the environment, caring for the elderly and children in the community, improving the foreign language ability of the community, and promoting the community through media production, etc., to bring the school closer to the community, in order to unite the teachers and students of the school and the community cohesion, related measures are as follows.
(i) The School of Environmental Design (SED) has invited professional teachers in the field of planning and development to give 120 hours of lectures in 2021. On March 24, 2021, the "Taipei City Xinyi District Development Visioning Seminar" was held. Local district directors, City Council Members and officials of the Department of Urban Development and Engineering were invited to outline a vision for the future development of the Xinyi District, focusing on spatial development issues. The seminar integrates teaching into the local community and uses the Taipei City Executive District as the practice area to plan, design and develop different spatial scales in order to create a smart, ecological and sustainable community. The freshman students will work on the design of neighborhood renovation in Daan District; the sophomore students will work on the overall review of major projects in Xinyi District; and the junior students will work on the overall planning, design and development of Neihu and Nangang Industrial District.
(ii) The College of Science: Considering the needs of the community, the College interacts with the local community from different aspects and integrates with teaching, internship, service learning and other teaching activities to promote sustainable development of the community and enhance interaction with the community and strategic alliance high schools to achieve the goal of positive campus development and community love. In 2021, the proportion of the professional integration into campus and community theme production was 30%, and professional promotion activities were held 8 times.
(iii) College of Engineering: Undergraduates from the Department of Chemical Materials and the Department of Electrical Engineering lead the experiments of Yangmingshan Elementary School students to train their practical and experimental design skills. They also analyze the decibels, illumination, electromagnetic waves, humidity, and ultraviolet rays measured on site in the U.S. Army dormitory area in Yangmingshan and the main campus of the university, so that users in the area can know the environmental parameters of their area and participate in the green technology course by improving the areas with high hazards.
(iv) College of Agriculture: In order to integrate horticultural science into local creation and to promote the concept of ecological education, the university holds training camps for ecological interpretation by organizing horticultural handicraft workshops and inviting professional ecological interpretation experts to train university students as seed teachers, so as to establish an ecological interpretation team, establish a cooperative relationship with the local community, link people, ecological tourism, and environmental education, convey ecological science knowledge and the correct values of ecological conservation, and train professionals and deepen local services. In 2021, we trained 5 university students as seed teachers and held 2 gardening workshops.
(v) School of International and Foreign Languages: Promoting multilingual learning and cultural awareness The Six Departments of the School of Foreign Languages offered five subjects in three schools, including Yangmingshan Elementary School, Bai Ling High School, and Fuxing High School, using six different languages. The Korean Department has signed cooperation agreements with 16 high schools to form a cultural Korean education circle by linking with high schools. In the future, we will publish textbooks, send graduate students to teach in contracted high schools, and offer AP (Advanced Placement) courses in high schools.
(vi) College of Social Sciences: In order to increase the opportunities for students in the Department of Social Welfare to apply their learning and practical work learning, the Department cooperates with the Yung Fu Home in Taipei to provide the faculty and agency social workers with the knowledge of placement and professional services for people with physical and mental disabilities. Students design and implement life education groups and related activities based on social work methods and principles, and participate in various services to help people with mental and physical disabilities to have a better quality of life. This year, 6 students participated in the program, working in small groups to implement two "life education" programs for six weeks to help clients understand the life process, death and separation, and emotional adjustment. Each student completed 50 hours of service, and produced a report on the results and presented it.
(vii) Since 2021, the Department of Journalism has been cooperating with USR's "Bright Top: Yangmingshan Green Energy Creation and Community Transformation Action Plan" to expand the scope of the existing campus and community building to cover Beitou District in Taipei City and Jinshan District in New Taipei City, and to follow the current social trend to extend to local creation, so as to enrich the topics of reporting and to demonstrate the social responsibility of USR in Yangmingshan to the Twin Taipei Living Area.
(viii) College of Arts and Letters: In order to meet the core spirit of the 108 syllabus "independent action, social participation and communication", to enhance the artistic and aesthetic qualities of high school students, to strengthen their physical and mental qualities, and to equip them with the ability of self-improvement, we and Fuxing High School offer a micro-course on "Literature, History, Philosophy and Digital Creativity" to guide high school students to understand and experience the characteristics of the various departments of the College of Arts and Letters, and to actually participate in community humanities activities and learn to build local digital cultural and creative contents.
(2) Campus resources are open and shared to create community vitality
The mission is to guide students to deepen their empathy, caring power and self-reflection by taking the needs of the local community as the scope of services for community co-prosperity and the disadvantaged organizations.
(i) Service learning takes root on the ground, and goodwill and neighborliness are integrated into the community: In order to fulfill the University's social responsibility and increase interaction with the community, the University aims to serve the community in Yangmingshan, Shilin, and Beitou, and to serve the disadvantaged organizations in the local community by promoting the cultural roots of student organizations and environmental education service learning activities, organizing service learning activities for neighborly and public welfare, and organizing reflective review and feedback and competition for neighborly service. In 2021, 53 teams participated in extracurricular service learning activities, and the overall satisfaction rate of the organization reached 89.5%.
(ii) Providing library service loans and museum visits: In order to open up the resources and services of the Hwa Gang Museum and to strengthen the links and interactions between the Hwa Gang Museum and the local museums, the museum held the "50th Anniversary of the Hwa Gang Museum" exhibition to celebrate its 50th anniversary in 2021. This year, the new official website was set up to open up access to the museum's important collections, exhibitions, and events, and to translate important basic information into English for the benefit of both domestic and international visitors, with a total of over 760,000 hits (including repeat hits) since its launch.
(iii) The exercise physiology laboratory of the Chinese Culture University has set up a health testing station and arranged testing by appointment. Body composition, bone mineral density, and cardiopulmonary fitness are examined.
V. USR Hub
More than 10 departments in 5 colleges of the university use "Yangmingshan Studies" as the main axis to create an impression of the humanities, arts and natural cultural landscape of Yangmingshan, combining practical work, internships, fieldwork, field visits and data collection, etc. The university also fulfills its responsibility to cultivate industrial talents for the society and offers media literacy courses to enhance the independent thinking ability of national and high school students and to put them into practice in life.
(1) College of Arts and Letters - "Yangmingshan Studies": Humanities Project
By combining the three departments of literature, history and philosophy in the College of Arts and Letters, and with "Yangmingshan Studies" as the core of humanities, and through the integration of concepts and practical learning, the following were provided.
(1) Micro-credit courses: 30 courses with about 800 participants.
(2) “One Thousand Coins for One Poem” Call for Paper: Beginning in October, about 50 entries will be evaluated by experts and awarded prizes, and the best entries will be published online.
(3) Tracing and oral interviews: 3 tracing sessions with 60 participants; assisted Shihlin District Office in conducting oral interviews in the U.S. Army dormitory area and completed the electronic file of the guidebook.
(4) Yangmingshan Exchange Workshop for educational, governmental, and industrial sections: 3 sessions with 450 participants.
This activity enhanced students' understanding of the Yangmingshan area, to connect more deeply with the local community, and to promote and market the ecology and humanities of Yangmingshan.
(2) School of the Fine Arts - "Yangming Mountain Studies": Yangming Recreation
The School of Fine Arts will interact with the historical and cultural environment of Yangmingshan to create a new artistic model by combining the performing arts with famous historical sites, geography, history and culture, etc., to create a new artistic model to beautify and spread the human spirit of Yangmingshan through the performing arts. By combining the performance venues of the school with local cultural institutions, such as the former residence of Lin Yutang and the Yang Ming File Cabinet, we can provide local residents and tourists with art appreciation opportunities and enhance the effectiveness of arts education.
In 2021, we produced a video entitled "Yangming Ancient Art" and held a "European Music Concert" at the former residence of Lin Yutang.
(3) Department of Landscape Architecture - "Yangmingshan Studies": Building Local Networks and Social Practices for a Sustainable Environment
The elements that make up a wetland can be simplified into three main elements - water, media for plant growth, and wetland plants. By focusing on these three elements, this workshop aims to construct a 3D eco-spatial structure of wetlands through scientific investigation and assessment methods, which can be used as the basis for wetland identification, delineation, mapping, and even as an important assessment method for the subsequent development of related management plans.
(4) Department of Chemical Materials - Ceramics Industry Human Resource Development Project
In order to promote the development of human resources in the ceramic industry, this project is divided into three areas according to the project framework.
(1) Establishing a dialogue window on the manpower needs of the ceramic industry: Invite stakeholders from the ceramic industry, the supply of high school and college students, and the compilation and teaching of college materials for dialogue and interaction.
(2) Providing teaching materials for the development of human resources for the ceramic industry and performing teaching activities for the development of human resources for the ceramic industry.
(3) The ceramics human resources training program was combined with practical exchanges and visits to local sites in the Greater Yangmingshan area.
In 2021, although the program was revised due to the COVID-19 epidemic, the program still completed one visit to the Yingge Ceramic Museum and hands-on teaching, one visit to the authors of textbooks about ceramic materials experiment and industry experts, one visit and teaching at the Yonglai Mine site in Lingshuikeng, Yangmingshan, and one visit and consultation with the local industry in the Greater Yangmingshan area; and 83 hours of ceramics-related courses, including theoretical courses on ceramic materials and processes, lectures on industrial practices, and lectures on ceramic art appreciation; and 95 hours of hands-on training in ceramic manufacturing and ceramics.
(5) Department of Mass Communication - Media Literacy Education Teacher Training and Curriculum Practice
Based on the goal of promoting media literacy education, the Department worked with schools at all levels, professional educational non-profit organizations, and community colleges to train media literacy teachers for national education, implement media literacy education, and build a media literacy education resource platform.
Three media literacy camps for high school students were held in November 2021, with a total of 120 students and 235 participants, including students from Yang Ming High School, Bai Ling High School, Minglun High School, Fuxing High School, Wei Li Girls' High School, Jing Mei High School, Datong High School, Xin Bei High School, and Sanchong High School.
