Implementing Pedagogical Innovation

    A total of 153 teaching assistants assisted in academic and professional mentoring; a total of 129 students benefited from the mentoring program.

    82 instructors from the dual industry-academic teaching program gave students a clear picture of industry trends. A total of 96 courses are subsidized.

    English classes were proficiency-based, sports-themed, and small in size; not only English lessons on sports were offered, but English study groups and baseball English materials were also included in the courses.

   Organized financial aid, Short Sports Biographies Writing Contest (71 works), Olympic Spirit Writing Contest (498 essays); TED Talks were used in Chinese/English reading and writing (33 essays) to improve students' written and oral language skills.

    Five cross-disciplinary programs were established to reduce the number of required major credits, increase students course flexibility, and utilizing maker spaces to broaden students’ hands-on experiences.

Developing School Specialization

    Increased metal count (211 in total with 106 golds) by incorporating sports science and sport-specific trainings.

    Created an English-friendly environment by offering all-English and Chinese language courses to improve students' language skills and enhance their willingness to communicate internationally.

    Provided professional athletic testing and coaching for the school’s teams and students from neighboring high schools.

    Established the Central Taiwan Sports Base to monitor athletes' physical condition through various tests, so as to enhance their athletic performance and help them win medals.

    Founded a wearable testing team for sports science, built a database for athletes and the elderly, and developed a cloud-based monitoring app.

    Created a video makerspace that helped complete 74 school videos and interviews, 4 interviews with athletes, and 13 live broadcasts of weekly sports reports.

    Organized an information and data analysis team that teaches students to collect and interpret athletes’ testing and competition data, and supports students in starting their own businesses.

    Sports Tourism: a BMX event and ski instructor training were held.

    Created a TV station for interns that produced 30 videos of interviews with outstanding athletes, coaches and executives to enhance students' competence in the studio.

Fulfilling the Public Role in Higher Education

    Continuing to provide diverse enrollment opportunities for economically or culturally underprivileged students. Offering exam fee subsidies. Improving students’ learning outcomes by incorporating a variety of counseling activities and motivational drives.

    Funds raised from alumni and businesses were properly allocated to various support programs for underprivileged students; 254 grants were given in the financial aid program.

    By designing aboriginal cultural tours and hands-on courses, we offer practical experiences for economically and culturally underprivileged students.

    Established a platform to disclose important information about the school's finances.

Taking on Social Responsibilities

    Transformed Taichung into a sports paradise for children and adolescents by connecting the sports industry, academic programs and makerspaces, fulfilling social responsibility and creating job opportunities. More than 3,000 people have attended sports events.

    Offered fitness classes and workshops for seniors to achieve the goals of continuous learning and healthful exercise; a total of 2,605 participants attended the workshops.

    Invited locals to watch performances at the theater; hosted training programs at different levels for the underprivileged and people with dementia.

    Organized a variety of exercise classes and workshops for seniors to deepen their understanding of LOHAS, helping them achieve their goals of continuous learning and healthful exercise.
