Da-Yeh University Builds “Tian Chang Bai Jia Ye” Platform

to Help Stores face the Post Pandemic Era

Innovation Incubator Center of DYU has created the “Tian Chang Bai Jia Ye” platform to promote quality products in Changhua County through online marketing. Three local associations support the project: Tian-Zhong Tourism Business Development Association, the Tian-Wei Highway Garden Association, and the Changhua City Yong-Le Business Development Association, wishing to help stores face the post-epidemic era.

Chien-Yi Wu, the director of Innovation Incubator Center, pointed out that the pandemic has devastating effects on the industry. The Small and Medium Enterprise Administration, Ministry of Economic Affairs, encouraged Innovation Incubator Center to supervise local business districts. Tian-Zhong business district has old streets and snacks suitable for light travel. Tian-Wei business district is known for its gardening. The Yong-Le business district in Changhua City has ancient monuments and food. The three business districts have huge tourism potential, so DYU selected these three business districts as counseling targets. To link the three business districts, the Innovation Incubator Center invited the curator Mi-Lu Huang, the illustrator artist Yuan-Sheng Ting, to join the project. In addition, Prof. Jung-Tse Hung, from the Department of Tourism and Travel Management took students to join the program and create a new image of “Tian Chang Bai Jia Yeh” stores on Facebook and Instagram.

Chien-Yi Wu, emphasized that 90% of the photos and articles on the Facebook fan page “Tian Chang Bai Jia Yeh” were produced by teachers and students. Students visited the places and filmed on-site, exploring store stories with their teachers to plan themes such as ” Tian Chang Bai Jia Ya,” “Tian Chang Good Boss,” “Tian Chang Bai Jia Go,” and so forth. They created special reports about their stories, information, and goodies with new images and emotional memories for various industries. The DYU project combined digital marketing and cultural creativity to help local business communities face the pandemic and create opportunities.

Da-Yeh Universityhas Seven Special R&D Bases to Assist in Industry Upgrade

DYU has always been attempting to cooperate with industries closely. In response to the features of the industries in central Taiwan, and the integration of cross-disciplinary faculties, DYU sets up seven feature R&D bases, including “Coating R&D Base,” “ Cosmetics and Medical Beauty Features of the R&D Base,” “Tea Technology and Product R&D Base,” “Elderly Long-Term Care and Intelligent Aids R&D Base,” “Artificial Intelligence R&D Base,” “Lightweight Electric Vehicle R&D Base,” and “Health Food R&D Base.” Students can get acquainted with the industries during the school period to enhance employment competitiveness. In addition, the school actively assists the local industry by taking advantage of the resources of the government and enterprises. Various projects sponsored by the governments or consortiums allow DYU to back up the R&D of industries.

“Cosmetics and Medical Beauty Base”

Research and Innovation Leading to Health and Beauty

The “Cosmetics Features R&D Base” is a multi-functional venue for theoretical studies, practical teaching, and industry-academic cooperation. In addition to matching the base with suitable manufacturers, we hope that the cosmetic industry can bridge the academics and the industry. Researchers can transform and apply academic research in the industry. The energy and production value of the biotech cosmetic industry can thus be enhanced.

“Lightweight Electric Vehicle Base” Upgrade!

Da-Yeh University Receives NT$20 Million Sponsorship

from the Ministry of Economic Affairs

In response to the trend of electric vehicles, Hai-Ping Lin, professor of the Department of Mechanical and Automation Engineering at DYU, organized an integrated research team. With the spirit of German Apprenticeship, he leads students in the R&D to upgrade electric motorcycles. A 2-year “Add-on Hybrid Vehicle Technology R&D and Commercial Development Program” was awarded a NT$20 million scholarship by the Ministry of Economic Affairs. The R&D of the “Lightweight Electric Vehicle Base” R&D is also highly recognized by the Taiwan Public Sectors.

Green energy is the future trend, and electric vehicles are getting popular in recent years. The team hopes to improve the current electric motorcycle problems by designing an extended program hybrid. DYU has been awarded several research projects sponsorships by the Ministry of Science and Technology and the Ministry of Economic Affairs, and has established the “Lightweight Electric Vehicle R&D Base.” It thus shows reasonable control of vehicle technologies.

Precision Machinery Research Development Center

Donates Equipment to DYU to Help Students Enhance Competitiveness

On September 24, the Precision Machinery Research Development Center(PMC) donated a screen printing machine and an atmospheric plasma surface treatment machine to DYU to enhance the academic research quality of central universities. Both will work together to develop new functional film materials and coating technologies; students' employment competitiveness can be improved by learning.

Chien-Hsun Lee, vice president of the PMC, donated equipment to DYU. He said that PMC was established in 1993 by the Ministry of Economic Affairs(MOEA). The machine tool industry, with the support of capital raising, has a solid technical foundation. With the development of optical surface treatment and coating technology, nanomaterials technology in coatings is becoming more widespread. Since 2016, with the support of the Technology Development Program (TDP) of the MOEA, PMC and DYU have worked together to develop functional coatings. Many results have been achieved so far. In addition, PMC donated one pneumatic plasma surface treatment machine and one screen printing machine. It expects to help students connect with the industries, upgrade their employment abilities, develop innovative application technologies required by the industry, and cultivate first-class talents in thin-film materials and coating R&D.

DYU conducted the project of the MOEA and the local industry technology value-added innovation program of the Department of Industrial Technology to promote the "Surface Treatment Industry into High Value-Added Multi-Functional Coating Technology Innovation Project." With the support of the research equipment developed by PMC over the years, the power is more than expected. Both sides will work together to maximize the benefits of equipment application, cultivate more outstanding talents, give back to society, and help upgrade the industry.
