Our school has always taken pride in developing a "
Characteristic university by the core of education", Strive to become the
region's first, domestic first-class, and internationally renowned university.
Since 2018, through the Ministry of Education's Higher Education Deep
Cultivation Program subsidy, Adhering to the school's development goals as
anchors, we have drawn up the blueprint of the four core aspects, and strived to
dexterously turn the rudder of teaching and learning, so that our school can
progress towards higher quality school in the past three years.
Dimension 1: Innovation of Teaching and Enhancement of Quality (Take Teaching as
Core):
Our school is based on pre-employment education for teachers, and
also attaches great importance to the professional learning of students in
general departments. The plan specifically proposes " Creativity",
"Information", "language", "interdisciplinary", and " Competency" regardless of
department. These five key learning forces create an innovative perspective on
formal curriculum learning.

Students:
(1) To implement the spirit of students' spontaneous innovation
and practice, a total of 2,030 students have taken courses in innovation and
creativity.
(2) Cultivate students' computational thinking and programming
ability, 60.11% of students have taken course in programming (logical thinking
and computational courses).

Implementing "Continuous Tracking After Graduation", the response rate of fresh
graduates
survey
is 100%, the response rate of graduate alumni after one year is 74.23%, and the
response rate of employer survey is 25.65%. |

Faculty:
(1) The
amount of industry-university cooperation has doubled, including industry-university
cooperation plans, technology transfer, patents, and other types of
cases.
The number of cases has reached 277 in three years. (2) Enhance
teaching
energy and refinement, and introduce the concept of SoTL, to subsidize 15 groups
of "cross-field teaching practice teacher communities". (3) Expand the
resource
in industry from short-week teaching to 1/3 of the full semester, and invite
professional teachers to fully participate in pre-course planning and
after-school consultation. |

Curriculum: (1)
In 2020, two artificial intelligence courses were opened.
(2) In 2020, 18 new syllabus and textbook teaching plans were
completed.
(3) The number of internships and class observations for teachers
and students at the teaching site reached 181 times.
(4) Conduct 104 sessions of "Quality-oriented teaching and
teaching demonstration studies in various fields". |
Dimension 2: Enhancement of Higher Education Publicness (Make Resources more
Public):
Our school upholds the good intentions of diversity and tolerance
and class elimination. Through flexible admission system and various student
assistance channels, school actively recruits students who are economically or
culturally disadvantaged. At the same time, it plans complete care for
schoolwork, life and community to help students who are economically or
culturally disadvantaged. On the other hand, in order to implement the purpose
of information sharing, the school continues to optimize the school affairs
information management mechanism by completing the preliminary construction of
the school affairs warehouse system, and conducting the school affairs research
analysis report, which covers students, teachers and school administration
dimensions.

(1)Promote Institutional information transparency. Completed 5
university issues analysis reports, including the dimensions of faculty,
students, administration and support, and strategic planning. In addition to 14
related charts and graphs of the issues, we also completed 80% establishment of
the “Institutional Data Warehouse System.”
(2) Encourage students who are economically or culturally
unfavorable for self-realization in work-study services. A total of 39
disadvantaged students serve as autonomous officials or work-study internships. (3) Actively recruit economically or culturally disadvantaged students, with a
freshman enrollment rate of 6%, and assist disadvantaged students in applying
for various scholarships. |
Dimension 3: Fulfilment of Social Responsibility (Fulfil Social Responsibility):
Our school encourages teaching and research to respond the
society, so the school establish cross-school and cross-industry diversified
partnerships with far and near regions. School provides various academic
value-added services in combination with various professional fields.

(1) The implementation of clinical teaching, and the number of
teachers who participated in the guidance of rural or in-service teachers
reached 187.
(2) Supporting local development with the education profession
and promoting special education consulting services, there are 46 consultations
which have been completed. And the Taichung City Government and off-campus
organizations have cooperated with the Taichung City Government and off-campus
organizations to handle the "Taichung Children and Children Placement
Organization Counseling Matching Matching".
(3) Integrating teachers' expertise to create a new
"Silver-haired People's Health Promotion Specialty Enrichment Credit Course", a
total of 10 courses. |
Dimension 4: Development of University Features (Develop
University Features):
In response to the twelve-year Basic Education, the school
continues to adjust the pre-service education curriculum for professional
teachers, and produces teaching materials that meet the connotation of the new
syllabus, and forms alliances with local governments and cultural and
educational organizations to assist in the development of teaching materials,
activities and strategies; And integrate the resources of the seven departments
of the School of Humanities of the school, continuing to invest in the
application of the cross-field doctoral program in the humanities and arts.

(1) Development of Taichung History and Culture Guide APP: In
2020, two new itinerary designs have been completed.
(2) The effects of humanities and arts cross-domain literacy
cultivation: In 2020, an international seminar on "humanities and arts
cross-domain training" was held, with 106 participants.
(3) To promote the important cultural asset of the school "Rinnosuke
Memorial Hall", a total of 20 group guided tours, exhibition lectures or
trainings have been conducted. |
